Certification Courses Beginning Soon
ALA’s courses will provide future lifeguards with the critical training and skills needed to supervise bathers safely. Over the span of a few weekends, students will learn water rescue techniques, first aid procedures, and more. Certified instructors will guide students throughout both classroom and in-water sessions.
Learning Lifesaving Skills
The course delves into ALA lifeguard certificate surveillance strategies, prevention tactics, and reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Students will practice rescuing drowning victims realistically with manikins. They will also acquire CPR, AED, and first aid certification as part of the program.
A Rewarding Summer Job
For those seeking a summer job with purpose and responsibility, lifeguarding certificate is an excellent opportunity. Upon completion of the course, students will earn the necessary certification for beach and aquatic facility lifeguard positions. Hiring is underway now at many coastal resorts, waterparks, and municipality pools.
Scholarships for Qualifying Applicants
The American Lifeguard Association understands lifeguard training is an investment for qualified students.
